An elevated wellness environment is an area where you get the opportunity to walk, talk, sleep, eat, and express yourself as you are.
Your environment is very impactful for your overall wellness no matter where you are. Whether you are in someone else’s environment or your own, it provides different energies to everyone in that environment.
The very first step to creating a wellness environment is to figure out how it is you want to feel as you move forward in life.
Our feelings and emotions take up such a big space in our decisions and learning to understand your feelings will help create a better connection with them.
One of my goals is to focus on feeling peace, love, patience, and growth. This feeling is so important to me and the more I feel that, the more I want to impact others to feel the same.
I want you to take some time to answer these questions below to take a deeper understanding of your emotions and how it is you truly want to feel.
When you think about your life, how do you feel about it at this moment?
The last time you smiled or laughed, how did you feel at that moment? What made you feel that way?
If you could name 4 emotions you would like to feel right now, what would they be?
How did it make you feel thinking about those emotions you would like to feel (or when you wrote them down)?
If you have answered those questions, I would love to know how you felt about them or what came up for you. You can email me directly on the contact page or reply below in the comment section.
Here are my 5 tips for creating an elevated wellness environment for your well-being
Get rid of things that are no longer serving you & helping you grow
When wanting to create an improved environment for yourself, it usually means things need to go or be set in a different location.
This can be hard sometimes especially if you had something for many years.
In these moments, you have to think about if these things are serving you in a way that represents your well-being goals, or just holds a great meaning behind it.
Tackle small areas at a time to really take your time with it and especially if you have lots of things to go through.
Place items where you believe they are needed to help you grow, stay focused, or just provide much-needed inspiration to keep going.
What are the things you feel you should keep because they represent your wellness goals or mean something special to you?
Buy things that support your self-care and wellness journey
(food, body essentials, room essentials)
Don’t you just love shopping!!
I know I do especially if it’s yummy food or cute home items.
If you want to change up things within your environment and feel like you need to do a little shopping as well, I would suggest you also create a list of things you need (candles, fruits, vegetables, plants, clothes, etc.)
This is very important not just if you’re on a budget, but so you don’t just go on a crazy shopping spree, coming back home with more than you needed.
Do some research online first unless you’re an online shopper, and use the internet to look at the things you want and the cost range for them.
Creating an elevated wellness environment is also about keeping your money in check, knowing where it’s going, and how often you are spending it.
Wellness tip: something you do within one thing, will also be shown in other things you do
For example, if you are uncontrollable with your money spending, there will be other areas in your life where you find yourself having a hard time taking control.
Use this tip to analyze how you do things in every area of your life, and take note of the things you can improve. And this will also help improve your wellness environment goals because it will be shown through all the other things you decide to do.
Create an open space to breathe & have free flow
This tip is very important to me because I believe we all need time to relax and breathe.
We don’t learn and grow in a traumatic state. We improve in a restful state, because we focus more clearly, think clearly, and make decisions through an improved analysis of everything around us.
I used to always think that I had to always be in stressful moments to move forward or I wasn’t improving in my life.
For so long people have been in a scarcity mindset and used that to help them move forward in life.
But I honestly feel if we embraced the relaxed mindset more often, we can go even further and achieve so much more.
Find an area in your home or whichever environment you want to improve to create a relaxation area that you trust to let go, breathe, and relax your nerves.
A relaxation area can be any area from your kitchen, living area, or bedroom.
It’s about what makes you feel at peace, where you can take a few deep breaths to let go and take complete awareness about how you are feeling without any interruptions.
Create a cleaning routine
(Nice home=less stress)
Wouldn’t you like to keep a nice clean home as you are creating an elevated wellness environment for yourself?
A clean home gives more room and opportunity for relaxation and growth.
Creating a cleaning routine will help a lot to keep your environment tidy and less stressful throughout the week.
Look at your schedule and pick a day when you have a great amount of free time to focus on cleaning your environment and getting it ready for the next week.
Also throughout the week, don’t just let things get piled up until cleaning day. You can take on 1 or 2 small tasks (washing a few dishes, wiping the counters, or tidying up your room before bed) that will help you grow a routine in your head to keep things clean to make it easier each cleaning day.
This is also a great routine to make a priority because it will help create less stress within you and more relaxation within the mind.
The more you start to understand that you are in control of everything you do from the inside out, the more you can create happiness and wellness from the inside out.
Remember: you are in control, whatever you decide to do should not be based on what others have said they believe you should do.
So if you choose to just clean up throughout the week or choose one day to do all of your cleanings, then do what works best for your wellness journey.
Focus on habits that keep your mind & body in a relaxed state
If most of your life has been chaotic and you haven’t been able to just relax and enjoy the moment; then this would be life-changing for you.
We all should be enjoying the benefits of our mind & body being in a relaxed state and it’s something we shouldn’t take for granted.
It’s important to remember that a relaxed mind & body can achieve, see, do, and be so much more than a chaotic mind & body.
Many people are trying to figure out how to create this habit for themselves to create less stressful environments for themselves. And it all starts with those small steps you take today to move forward tomorrow.
Here are a few habits that will help:
- Praying
- Writing
- Reading
- Cooking
- Cleaning
- Listening to music
- Walking
- Arts & crafts
All of these different ideas can be added to your morning, night, or daily routines. Making self-care a part of your lifestyle is also a great way to improve your wellness space.
It’s about finding what best fits your wellness goals and creating the time to focus on each of them.
Making your wellness a priority will help make your habits a priority and then you will start to see things flourish in the way that represents you.
Anything that you want to create in your life, you have to create it with love, respect, and patience. And that is first shown through you; the way you love yourself, respect yourself, and how patient you are with yourself.
Self-love is created not just by you stating you love yourself but by doing things every day that represents how you feel about yourself.
And creating an elevated wellness environment that not only represents you but how you truly want to feel on the inside is something to help elevate your self-love journey.
Last but not least Have fun & stay bright.
