There are so many trends going on today about how to create a healthy lifestyle and I can definitely say it can be overwhelming.
Even for me, when I go on social media and see different people showing all the different things you can do to improve yourself, I start to feel like it’s all too much to take in.
Whatever you choose to do to start creating a healthier lifestyle for yourself, just know that one step forward each day is the best way to go.
There are so many different things to learn when creating a healthier lifestyle, and I can honestly say that’s what makes the journey fun.
But to get started on a wellness lifestyle, you always want to keep things simple and not start off stressing yourself with all these different things you want to start doing.
I say this because creating a specific lifestyle also means having a certain routine to help you maintain that lifestyle. And this will least likely be possible if you are adding all of these different habits with no strategic routine on a daily basis.
Before creating a full change in your life, you want to make sure you can be consistent in the things you choose to do and that it actually provides a healthy effect on your well-being.
Read below for the 3 things you can start doing today to create a wellness lifestyle
Bring awareness into your everyday life
Awareness of yourself and life is truly the key to unlocking wellness habits that align with your goals.
I say this because, if we have no awareness of the life we are already living, then how will we know what changes to make to create improvements?
Awareness is what opens your eyes to see more than you thought you noticed before.
As I started becoming more aware of my life and my daily actions, I started to see how my habits, productivity, and thoughts could be improved.
I started to create more self-care into my life which led to a generous amount of self-love.
I ask you, have you taken a few minutes to become aware of the actions you are taking and how they may be affecting your overall lifestyle?
You have to start seeing yourself from different perspectives and analyze if this is a life you are truly inspired by. This awareness gives you the power to become the scientist in your own life.
Being the scientist in your life helps you analyze things, do trials, or test new habits.
This is now your time to become more aware and create a healthy environment and lifestyle that aligns with you.
Here are some journal prompts to help you bring more awareness into your life
- What is something new that you noticed about yourself, and how did you react towards it? (Whether a piece of hair sticking out, a blemish on your face, or shoes you put on)
- Take a moment to reflect on your day. What is something you noticed about yourself and your surroundings that you were very happy about?
- What is something you feel should be improved in your life and why?
- Tomorrow, how do you see yourself improving something you noticed today?
- Right now in this moment, what are 5 things you are aware of with no harsh judgment?
- What things do you see yourself already doing that represents a healthy lifestyle?
Write down 1 thing you would love to improve today
As you start to become more aware of your daily habits, you will always find new things you want to improve within yourself and your environment.
Remember not everything you want to improve can be improved in one day or even one week. Just one habit you want to improve can take months or even years. So patience with yourself is key along with awareness.
Right when you wake up or before you go to bed, become aware of one thing you did that you want to improve.
Think or write down why you want to improve this thing (why does improving this thing mean so much to you? What will happen if you do?)
Asking yourself these questions that relate to the thing you want to improve helps you see if this is something that really matters to you and will truly help you be one step closer to creating a healthy lifestyle.
Every day you will find new things that you want to improve and it can be stressful sometimes.
In these times, it’s best to stay focused on the one thing you already set out to improve and keep working on that until you see the results you are truly happy with.
Yes, you can work on more than one habit at a time, it’s honestly about what you are comfortable with.
Starting with one was best for me because I often found myself all over the place when trying to make changes with so many new habits to juggle. But this is your life, and I’m here to give you tips I’ve learned over the years, and I’m super thankful to even do that.

This is very important to know because you can have all these different ideas about creating a healthy lifestyle, but if it’s not something that truly aligns with your goals, then you will not be happy in the long run.
A wellness lifestyle is a lifestyle that represents your well-being, self-care, authenticity, and growth. And to create this lifestyle you have to start bringing more natural things into your everyday routines.
Whether your actions, the products you are using, or the food you are eating, bringing more naturalness into your life will create a wellness lifestyle effect.
Start looking at how you communicate with yourself and others, how you dress, the things you eat, the products you use on a daily basis, and the people you hang around.
Are any of these things natural to you or represent authenticity in your life?

Remember you must become the scientist of your own life and study everything from the ground up.
But this is about how important creating a wellness lifestyle is to you. Not you becoming crazy about things not being perfect, because that’s actually way off from a wellness lifestyle.
But you want to start studying yourself as if you are the designer of your life (which you are).
You can truly redesign your life and create a wellness lifestyle that represents you if you start becoming more aware (the observer), write and test out new habits you want to create (go through trial and error), and start bringing more natural things and authenticity into your life (create your ending result).
Remember during this journey, you should be having fun, enjoying yourself, and growing a life full of love for yourself.
The things I have mentioned are to help get you started on your journey, or get back up if you have fallen off. I want to help you see the simplicity in it all, and let you know there is no need to overwhelm yourself with things.
Different people and things come and go out of our lives, and sometimes these people or things were only there for a moment to help us on our journey.
