Self-love is about embracing who you are, what you feel, and every action you have taken up to this point. Unconditional self-love requires you to fully accept yourself and everything you do in between.
The more I accept different parts of myself, the more I love who I am and my creativity.
I’m just speaking from the heart here so hear me out with openness to receiving. I truly believe we all need more self-love in our life and we should not take it for granted.
Thinking about my time in high school, I had a hard time speaking my voice, expressing my love for things I wanted to do, and making friends I could connect with.
Because I had a hard time creating love for myself, it led to me having a hard time expressing any type of love to myself. I would cry often because I was super confused about myself and thought I needed attention from people I didn’t even know.
Today having more self-love came with kindness, adventure, care, patience, and learning more about myself in every way.
This change in mindset helped me stop being so hard on myself and take each day with ease and growth.
Below are 5 things to remember to help you create unconditional self-love as well
Meet yourself where you are
To start creating unconditional self-love you need to meet yourself where you are right now. You need to align yourself with you who are and who you want to be.
This alignment will help you boost forward in love, light, and life.
So how do we align ourselves with ourselves? We have to look within.
What parts of you have you been neglecting about yourself? Where do you have a hard time expressing yourself?
Maybe it’s speaking your voice or writing your story. Maybe it’s trying new things or letting go of the old
These things that may seem simple can hold us back and deplete us of self-love
why?> Because we’re not doing the very thing we need to do to express our uniqueness to the world.
You need to figure out why you have a hard time in these areas of your life.
What is your story behind this neglect and why does it greatly impact your life?
You can’t start walking in the best version of yourself if you are not healing a closed part of yourself.
everyone has their own talent, gift, and creator ability in this world. If we simply neglect that very thing, we bring ourselves farther away from our truth. We bring ourselves farther away from the self-love that we need to thrive in life.
Here are 3 things you can start doing today to create a healthy lifestyle and align yourself with self-love.
Focus on an elevating mentality
An elevating mentality is a mentality that is always trying to see the bigger picture of things and not so quick to give up on oneself.
This mentality is excited to learn new things and see how it can improve itself from new and different perspectives.
What things help you see new perspectives in life? What things make you want to elevate yourself and become better each day?
What things make you want to learn more, explore, and become adventurous in the moment?
This mentality keeps you going and growing in life, and it keeps us curious to want to know more about ourselves to continue elevating and spread elevation to others as well.
Start giving yourself permission to express your full creativity
Well, how do I know where my creativity is?
To be honest, we as people can express our full creativity in just about anything we choose to do, there is no one thing we can only do.
Honestly, that’s not fair to limit ourselves to only one creativity.
I want you to think about something that helps you to express more of your creativity and authenticity.
That could be writing, singing, speaking about something important to you, creating something from scratch, cooking, walking, painting, cleaning, designing, decorating, giving advice, etc.
There are so many things but you get the point….
Immersing yourself more in the thing or things that help you want to express yourself more often will ultimately help you permit yourself to do just that.
You will start to create more love and care for yourself and want to immerse yourself in your creativity all the time.

Stop looking outward and feel your emotions
I feel this is what’s most likely holding people back from real self-love, creativity, and authenticity
A person’s self-image is a leading cause of low self-esteem, confidence, self-love, and overall no belief in self.
Self-image: a personal view or mental perception that we have of ourselves
What is your self-image of yourself? How does that make you feel about yourself?
So many people are in a state of only looking and judging their outward image and not looking within.
This leads to always having to cover up the real you and create this new perception for others to see.
But at the end of the day, you are the one who has to sit with the real you
So why are we so focused on worrying about our outside image and not checking on what makes us who we are? What truly defines our character and creativity?
The more you dismiss your true self and creativity, the more you feel deeply sad on the inside because that is what is being rejected every single time
We have to start feeling our emotions and create a positive space to find the source of sadness, hurt, and pain that led to no self-love
Take time to think about how you want to start feeling about yourself, and the kind of friend you want to be to yourself
What kind of person do you want to perceive yourself as? What kind of impact do you want to create for yourself and others around you? Why is this image of yourself so important to you?
Stop holding onto words that do not define you
There is nothing wrong with a little bit of good criticism to help us be better but, if we hold on to any kind of information not good for us, it can lead to low self-esteem, confidence, and of course self-love
Every day we hear and fill ourselves with different types of information and words have the power to elevate us or make us feel down
I want you to think about something someone has said to you and how it made it feel afterward.
Words are like balls of energy and self-love is this big energy that we hold inside of us.
Once we start to hear words that reflect who we are, it affects our self-love energy
But we each have the power to dismiss those words or take them in. It is all up to you
#1 is we have to stop holding on to words that truly do not define us. We have to stop letting others get the upper hand on how we feel about ourselves
If someone is stuck on always judging you and not themselves, then they need more self-love in their life as well
So instead of making others feel bad let’s help them elevate to a higher level
Unconditional self-love is about loving yourself through your lifetime. It’s about seeing yourself for who you are and embracing yourself fully.
The embracement and acceptance is the key to unconditional self-love as you may have days where you don’t know what to do, so many things are confusing, and you just want to take a break. (and it’s 100% okay. It’s important to embrace those feelings as well to find the solution to your problem.)
